To Be A Hero
Institutions that are deeply mission-focused can rarely talk about their own accomplishments with easy confidence. Not wanting to be seen as shameless self-promoters, they’ll reduce dramatic stories of human genius, courage, and generosity to dry descriptions of empirical data.
“Don’t want to be seen as tooting our own horn,” they admonish.. “Give us that damn horn,” we reply.
When you could be a global model for change that improves the lives of generations, your story matters as much as your achievements. The largest public university in the U.S. had an incredible story to tell. We used dramatic storytelling and narrative techniques to help them do it. And in 500 words or less, no less.
